Location Of the Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort
Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort is situated on the west coast of India by the Arabian Sea in the state of Kerala.This resort is placed just about 30 minutes drive or 21 kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. Since Thiruvananthapuram is an international airport the Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort is easily accessible from anywhere in the world. Diet is the most important word in the treatment of Ayurveda and it is the way to live a healthy and fulfilled life.If you want good results while going through treatments here, you will have to follow the Ayurvedic cuisineattuned to your costitution. Some of the dishes from Continental and Chinese cuisines are also included in the diet.
Diet plan will be presented to you by the doctors after initial examination according to the constitution and his / her Dosha. Various types of fruits, fresh juices and exotic spices promise you a varied and tasty diet in the nutritional regime.
Rejuvenation Package at the Somtheeram Ayurveda Resort
Since the cells and tissue of the body change over the years it is essential to refresh and rejuvenate the body's systems to preserve the balance between body, mind and soul. The course of rejuvenation includes synchronised body massages, performed by two therapists with medicinal oil and cream, plus Sirodhara, medicinal steam baths and oral medicine. Rejuvenating face masks are also part of this package. This treatment is performed daily for about 90-120 minutes for a period of 7-14 days.
Body Purification package, Body immunization package, slimming package, Stress Management Package and Beauty Care package are some of the other Ayurvedic Packages available at the Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort.

Yoga and meditation are also taught at Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort. These classes are taken under the guidance of expert gurus. Yoga helps to isolate the mind from all the worries and thoughts as well as increase the strength and flexibility of the body.Yogic Exercises are considered as the preventive measures of all types of illnesses and problems. You learn to control your body and your mind also by rregularly doing Yoga.
Meditation helps you to attain a high level of concentration as well as reach out the inner depths of mind.There are 3 stages to meditation they are Dharana or concentration, Dhyana or meditation and Samadhi or enlightenment. You have to concentrate on something for a long time so as to attain concentration and when your attention is fixed, Dhyana is achieved and through prolong Dhyana,you reach Samadhi or the enlightenment.
