About the Travancore Heritage Resort
This wonder of an heritage islocated at Chowara in the south of Kovalam Beach of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of the state of Kerala India. The cottages in the Travancore Heritage Resort are about a century old and a have a history behind them. The Heritage is located in a sorawling 14 acres of land on the top of t 120 ft hill at Chowara, on the shores of the Arabian Sea.If you choose to stay there you can have charm of the blue sea and white of the sands and live in a 150 year old palace and its environs.
Accommodation Facilities at the Travancore Heritage resort
The Travancore Heritage Resort has its accommodation facilities on the cliff as well as on the beach side among the coconut palm groves and landscaped gardens spread about 13 acres. they have 90 rooms which can be clasified into 6 different categories, namely, 24 rooms in the Beach Grove, 23 heritage homes, 15premium mansion, 22 heritage premium, 2 pool mansions and 4 premium suites.
Beach Grove is located t the foot of the hills and has 24 rooms facing the sea.They have all the modern facilities including the lift.
Heritage Home Cottages are situated on the cliff over looking the garden. The traditional design and style of Kerala Architecture as well as the historic interiors are ideal for the tourists who loves to stay in the traditional style wooden cottages with all the modern amenities.
Premium mansion rooms have the best view of the seafrom the patio or the balcony for you to enjoy the views of the Arabian Sea. To the utmost convenience for the guests the floor is paved with terracotta tiles and beautifully furnished.
Heritage Premium cottages are placved on the cliff overlooking both the sea and the garden as well. The traditional design has historic interiors in harmony just like in Heritage home cottages. This should be a treat to the domestic as well as yhe international tourists.
Pool Mansions
These are traditionally built tharavadu houses which are only found in Kerala. This is a rectangular structure with four halls and are joined together with a centre area open to the sky. These houses were demolishedand have been reconstructed to suit the wishes of the guests who really wants privacy with their own swimming pool. These rooms are situated on top of the cliff with garden and partial sea view.
Premium suites are a sea facing accommodation, with excellant views of the Arabian Sea. these are placed on the liff. Suites have a separate living area and bedroom with a wooden floor spacious carpeted balcony.These are designed to give you the utmost convenience for the Leisure.honeymooners, Ayurveda and Business Travellers. 24 hours hot and cold water, 24 hours channel TV, Laundry Services, Iron and Ironing board on request, Baby sitter on request, News paoaer on request, Direct dialling telephone facility, room service, Mini Bar, bathrobes on request, Toiletteries , plug converters on request, Tea and coffee maker and house keeping are the facilities provided for the guests lodging in the suites.
Dining Facilities at the Travancore Heritage
Ocean Grill is the beach side restaurant which is situated between the beach grove and the sea. The thatched roofing and the sea breeze makes the dining at the restaurant very pleasing. The restaurant specializes in sea food delicacies.
Ayurvedic Restaurant is where you can get Ayurveda based dishes. These are mainly for the guests who come for corrective measures and or with a prescription of a particular diet.
Open house is a restaurant with open arches and overlooking the pool.This comes with a wooden roof ceiling which is more than a 100 years old. This is a multi cuisine restaurant offering the best of fare with the specialty of sea food delicacies and the ethnic cuisine of the locals. The restaurant can hold about 80 persons at a time.

conference hall is equipped with the latest of the audiovisual facilities. The halls can be altered as according to your needs or specifications for corporate conferences, product launches, weddings, concert performances, dealer meets, press conferences and formal board meetings.
Other facilities available at the Travancore Heritage Resort
There are 2-3 small shops from where in you can buy some trinkets and gifts for your friends from inside the resort itself if you are not interested in travelling out of the resort.
There is a beauty parlour at the resort for sprucing yourself a bit.
