About Beach and Lake Ayurvedic Resort
The Beach and Lake Ayurvedic Resort is situated at about 8 kilometers from the Thiruvnanthapuram International airport and is placed between the Arabian Sea and the Karamana river. They started off in the nineties as an ayurvedic resort and at present is evolving into an yoga retreat as well, combining both Ayurveda and Yoga together for good health. This Beach and Lake ayurveda resort is situated in an island blessed by the nature.
Accommodation facilities at the Beach and Lake Ayurvedic Resort
If you are taking an ayurvedic package the room and food facilities go along as per the package tariff. The rates are all included in the tariff for the special Ayurvedic packages.
If not, you can choose the room you like. The rooms can be classified into AC and Non AC superior deluxe rooms, Ac and Non AC deluxe rooms, AC and Non AC standard deluxe rooms. The tariff will change as according to the season you choose to book the room. All the three plans, CP plan, room with Breakfast, MAP plan room with breakfast as well as either lunch or dinner and AP plan room with all the three meals breakfast, lunch and dinner. Only vegetarian foods are available for these plans. If Non Vegetarian dishes are neded then it will have to be ordered separately.

All the rooms will have a view either of the sea, lake or the river.

They have the pool with a kids pool and a set of jacuzzis The pool has broad pool decks finished in natural granite with umbrellas on the pool side and long reclining pool side cots etc.

Dining facilities at Beach and Lake Ayurvedic Resort
If you have not been prescribed ayurvedic diets you can have what you like as per your wishes from their multi cuisine menmu. Typical Kerala traditional cuisine isserved in the plantain leaves. With the room tariff and plans only vegetarian meals will be served. Non vegetarian dishes have to be ordered separately, like karimeen pollichathu, different types of fish curry kerala style with and without coconut etc.

There are 8 steps for learning how to do Yoga
Yama - Conditional yoga behaviour, personal and social,
Niyama - Attitude sublimate to yoga norms
Asana - Discipline of the physical body
Pranayanma Control over bio energythrough respiratory action
Pratyahara - withdrawal of senses inwards through abstraction
Dharna - Concentration
Dhyana - Meditation
samadhi - Transconsciousness
Of these the first five are the external yogas and the last three are the internal yogas.The respective sequences of the 8 steps are the standard methodology of yoga which has to be followed for good health and as preventive measures of infections.
