Ayanat House, a Homestay in Alappuzha, Kerala
Ayanat House is located inthe beautiful village of Thykattussery on the banks of the river Kanthappuzha. This Thykkattussery village is located away from the maddenning cities and the crowds where different community people live harmoniously together doing chores like fishing and farming. The ambience at the Thykattussery Village adds to the charm of the place and makes your vacation comeplete.
Facilities at Ayanat House
There are 3 bedrooms large and airy facing the backwaters are available for the guests on the western part of the house.The guests can relax at the verandahs provided for the bedrooms without disturbance from anyone. There is an attached bathroom with running hot and cold water options. There is a reading room provided along with a well stocked library in the Ayanat House. You can have your breakfast, lunch and dinner with the host family and other guests at the homestay. The food served will be of the traditional kerala cuisine.
Recreational activities at the Ayanat House
Since the homestay is a palntation house you can have a look at the estate where Vanilla, Pepper, arecanut coconut and Banana are grown.
Prawn farming also goes on side by side active in the canals, you can also see pearl spot fish or the karimeen in Kerala rearing in the canals.
You can try your hand at Fishing from the private marina reserved for the guests. If you don't know you can also learn how to using the Choona or the fishing rod of the kerala style.
