Champakulam boat race is one of the oldest and famous boat race in Kerala. This is conducted in every year during the Moolam month of Malayalam calender. The race is conducted in the Champakulam lake in Alapuzha. It is marked with the colorful 'Chundan vallam'( Snake boats) and the folk songs of the sails-men. The race make the lake energetic and this year this race will be conduced on 26th June.
