Chief Minister Shri Achuthanandan laid the foundation
stone for the proposed Airport in Mattannur in Kannur Dist.
The Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel presided the
function.
By this attempt, the decade old dreams of people of North
Malabar region come true.
People also hope that the tourism and handlooms sectors in
Kannur will get a major boost with the arrival airport in
Kannur.
