Malappuram district containing high muslim population those who are known as MAPPILAs. This mappilas have special art events, that events are known as 'MAPPILAKALA'.mappilakala not only in malappuram but also in Calicut,Kannur&Wayanad. But Malappuram known as HOUSE OF MAPPILAKALA.

KOLKALI :Will play when mappilas got any victory.it containing two sets of 6 person.total12
VATTAPPATTU :Will play mappilas marrige section.9 person around manavalan.
OPPANA :Will play in marrige section. 6 girls around manavatti, 3were sing from out side.
DHAFF MUTTU&ARBANA :Will play parties of any functions of mappilas.containing 12 person.
