    Paper presentation competition for Engineering students in Kerala

    Erakkodan Infrastructure & Technical Services (EITS Calicut) is conducting a paper presentation competition for Engineering Students, Water Summit - 2011 on 1st May 2011. Engineering students in Kerala can participate in Water Summit 2011 competition. Winners will be awarded EITS Aqua Award 2011, certificates with Cash awards.

    It is interesting to note that paper presentation is considered as a competitive item. A paper, a scientific one, is based on a research work, selected by the student.with the help of a guide the work is carried out and based on the results a paper is prepared.

    The value of the paper is based on the result. Of course, the presentation method as well as the message conveying capacity will be considered. still a comparison become difficult because the importance of the problem taken for study might vary from paper to paper. Naturally, the results will also be based on the problem chosen.

    So, conducting a reality show type competition for research papers do not look acceptable. Perhaps my view may be wrong. Just commented because I happen to be in the field of scientific research.
