'Match fixing in cricket' is going like a 'mega television serial'! - dare to think of it's end. Former srilankan captain Hashan Tillakaratne claims that lankan players have been fixing matches since 1992. Even though he excluded historic world cup 2011 final from the list, he said team selection (inclusion of kapugedera ahead of chamarasilva and exclusion of mendis ) was not convincing.
It is disappointing to see these type of allegations in modern cricket.

Match Fixing is a serious issue in Cricket. In most countries, Cricket is considered as a national game and so every player must fight for his nation until the end. The words by Thilakarathne has its own points. But I can't fully agree to his words. There may be some players who fixed the match. He said since 1992, they had been fixed the matches. But within these duration, the Srilankan team won many matches. It is also to be noted that he claims this after his retirment from cricket. I think it may not be affected the world cup final since there are no strong proofs to claim match fixing in WC final and up to now no complains were there.
