M.C. Jacob, Founder and Chairman, Anna and Kitex groups of business enterprises died on 5-5-11 evening. He was admitted to Amritha Medical Institute, Idapalli for treatment about 3 days back.

He is the funder of the Anna and Kitex group of companies. He started his first industry 'Anna Aluminum Company' with 8 employees in 1968. It became very popular and almost every house will be having at least one utensil of Anna. Thereafter he diversified and started Kitex Company.

The group has many popular brand items like 'Anna aluminum', Sara masala, Chakson pressure cooker, Scooby day bags etc. From 8 employees the establishments have grown many time and have 1500 employees now.
