The higher education in Kerala is not a distant dream as it was in some years before. Now there are many colleges and institutes providing sound education with a low fees.
Of course, there are institutes where students have to pay more. But to tackle the problem of poor and needy, loan facilities and scholarships are provided by both Central and State Government. The recent scholarship programs started by Kerala Government and the reduction in interests made by Central Government is pointing towards this.
The real problem is that people are not known about all the courses. What all are doing is simply mimicking their seniors. There are new opportunities opened for the younger generation, but what will happen when all of them want to be an engineer or daughter only?
