" A Train Journey in Gods Own Country "

Dear members,

A train is a vehicle for rail transport used as cargo as well as passengers too. Now a days train is the most economic means of transport but its timing cannot be kept as it should be. All of us must have travelled in a train at-least once or using it constantly. In that journey or journeys one might have seen many activities in it.

Through my topic "A Train Journey", would like share what all things one have faced in that journey.

If possible you can narrate it as a story.

The reason for me selecting this topic is, me travelling in train to my work place since one week. We have seen movies related to the same but its different when it comes to reality. Let's see what comes up??

Among the travel modes the cheap and best is Train journey. However there cannot be unanimity in any topic. There is a say that Ammaye Thalliyalum randudu paksham (meaning that even if someone beats the mother - a personification of sacrifice and service, there will be two opinions. One in favour the beating and the other against. So matters like train journey will evoke more opinions than 2.

Now let us take the train journey. There are different modes of travel for different purposes. If we want to go to the nearest to the place of destination within short distance, bus, taxi or auto will be better As trains can go only where rail road is there and stations are there. For long distance travel for the poor and middle class except for those whose fares are [aid by pothers like the Government officials or company executives who will prefer to go by flight, the best is train. In the train there are classes depending on the comfort and expense limit of the travelers.

Since it is long distance purpose and to cater to vast majority, timing may not suit all. The timing of the train depends on the traffic of the track and crossings etc.Hence convenience may not find priority there.

I also like long train journey. The comfort we get in the train journey is much higher than in road transports. So most people prefer the train journey for long distance travels.
