In the Speech by the Honorable Governor opening the Budget Session of the Kerala Assembly, an announcement about starting a Centre of Excellence in Fisheries is included. Present College of Fisheries, under Kerala Agricultural University,functioning at Panangad, Kochi will be converted into the said Centre, according to the speech.
