Oomman Chandy is an able and gentle politician who preaches with his action, but not by words. So there required no rethinking to select him as the chief minister, when Mr AK Antony vacated the post. Even though he was in chair for a short period, he proved his abilities and was able to do a lot for the welfare of the state. Oommen Chandy put an end to the slow actions of the governments by implementing the 'athivegam bahudooram' program, which transformed the face of the government.
