India is the world largest democratic nation. Our nation got freedom from the British Empire on 15th August 1947 and become republic country on 26th January 1950. Both of these are national festival of our nation. We the Indians celebrate these festivals with great enthusiasm in all over the country. In every state flag hoist will done by local administration. But the main event of Republic day will conduct at Red fort.

Prime minister will lay a wreath at Amar Jawan Jyothi in memory of armed forces who gave up their life for our country. The President of India, being the Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces, takes the salute from three wings of India(Army, Navy and Air Force)take part in the Republic parade at New Delhi. Various cultural ceremonies highlighting the various traditions of Indian culture are also held in this event.

International political leaders or important persons are also invited for this spectacular event in every year. This time our nation invites Sultan of Oman as chief guest of Republic Day of India 2013 celebrations.
