Arikilundayirunenkil - Fahad Fasil as Changambuzha in a Malayalam movie

Malayalam language is blessed with many eminent poets and story writers from the ancient period. With the blessings from God they have ruled the Malayalam literature over the past years. Some of the ancient writers or poets are still our heroes and their lyrics still remain in our mind even in this modern epoch too. Changamuzha Krishna Pillai is one among them, who with his alluring poetry lines have created enormous fan circle behind him. He is well known for his romantic elegy “Ramanan", which was written in the year 1936 and over 1 lakh copies were sold. Ramanan, Vazhakkula, Divyageetham, Devageetha, Bashpanjali are some examples for his mettle demonstrating lines. He has contributed lot to the Malayalam literature. The great ancient poet still lives in our mind with his simple, exotic and romantic lines. The Malayalam movie “Arikilundayirunenkil" is decided to be based on the life history of this great romantic poet.

Priyanandanan who has already shown his mettle in film making is now coming up with “Arikilundayirunnenkil", a Malayalam movie featuring the life of the most talented romantic poet Changampuzha. He had bagged the National Film Award for the best feature film for his second movie “Puli Janmam" in 2006. He has directed four movies in the past which includes “Neythukaran" (2000), “Puli Janman"(2006), “Sufi Paranja Katha"(2009) and “Bhaktha Janangalude Shradaku"(2011). He has received many critical acclimation for his movies from the movie field for his past filmy works. Now, the superior director is going to do another movie based on the life of the poet Changampuzha Krishna Pillai featuring Fahad Fazil in lead role.

Fahad is now quite popular as a romantic hero in Malayalam movie field. He has demonstrated his mettle well in the past with bunch of successful entertainers. Now, the young vibrant actor is going to do such an interesting and challenging role of a famous poet Changampuzha. It will be a turning point for him as an actor because the character gives peculiar opportunity to show his talents in silver screen. He has to demonstrate the simple life of Changampuzha who lived before decades as a romantic poet. Now, the question is how well Fahad Fazil can deliver the role of Changampuzha in the upcoming movie “Arikilundayirunnenkil".

According to the director Priyanandanan, the movie “Arikilundayirunnenkil" will be simple as the poems of Changamuzha and features many fresh faces and dramatic artists both in front and back of the camera. The movie is made based on the novel "Changampuzha- Nakshathrangalude Snehabhajanam" written by Prof M.K Sanu. Sathyan Kolangad has penned the script and screen play for the movie “Arikilundayirunenkil". As the movie is based on the life of a poet, higher priority is given for the songs and it is been handled by Rafeek Ahammad and Shahabas Aman. Both of them are well known and popular in Malayalam movie industry for making captivating songs.

In recent years, there was a movie released based on the life of another writer P Kunjiraman "Ivan Megharoopan". This movie was unable to become top in box office. However the songs were catchy. So now we will wait and see how the movie “Arikilundayirunenkil" will be accepted by the young generation. Releasing of the movie “Arikilundayirunnenkil" is not yet decided. We will hope that this movie will add another feather to Fahad Fazil's cap.
