Kerala Polytechnic 2013 admission - Online application starts from May 15, 2013

Online application submission date for the three year engineering diploma courses in Government/Aided/approved private polytechnic colleges under the control of state technical department will start from 15th May 2013. Students who are seeking for admission in three year Polytechnic courses in 2013 can apply through the website www.polyadmission.org. Application should be submitted by clicking on the “Online Submission" link. Students can download prospectus from the website, and follow the instructions given in it to fill the application form for Polytechnic admission. An application fee for Polytechnic admission form is 100 Rs. SC/ST students only need to pay Rs 50 for the application form. For registration, Students should take the print out of submitted application and submit it to any Government/aided polytechnic college principal with true copy of self attested certificates.

Students seeking admission in management seat of aided and private polytechnic colleges can also submit application by clicking on the “management seat link" available on the same site. Students can register up to evening 4 pm, 1st June. Students can also submit for NCC and sports quota seats through concerned link available on the site. Students can know the status of application for polytechnic admission by using the registration number obtained from the college at the time of registration, application number obtained while online application ,and date of birth. Polytechnic admission is a district wise procedure. District nodal principal will do the further process of single window allotment and admission counseling.

Courses available in Polytechnic


Polytechnic admission is set for the admission to three year regular engineering/technology, commercial practice/management diploma course. In Engineering/technology stream available branches are civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics, computer, electronics, textile instrument technology, computer hardware maintenance, automobile, polymer technology, biomedical information technology, electronics production technology, printing technology, and wood and paper technology. Available branches in each district is given in the prospectus.

Educational qualification for Polytechnic admission 2013


The minimum requirement to get admission in polytechnic course is to be passed in SSLC/THSLC/ equivalent exam. Rank list for the allotment process will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately and total marks in all subjects. Fees for Polytechnic courses in Kerala 2013


There are 49 general polytechnic colleges in Kerala under Government/aided department. Apart from these, 9 self financing diploma colleges are also there in Kerala. Semester fees for Government/aided department is Rs 750 per semester as tuition fees and 800 Rs as special fee. In Self financing colleges tuition fees is Rs 22500.
