After Mammootty and Prithviraj experimenting with Kottayam dialects, now it is the turn of Biju Menon. The actor has taken much effort to give full dedication to his character in cinematographer Jibu Jacob's directorial debut 'Vellimoonga'. Scripted by Joji Thomas, set against the backdrop of Kanjirapally in Kottayam, the movie revolves around the life of an unmarried politician unmarried 42 year old politician named C.P.Mamachan played by Biju Menon.
Aju Varghese, Lena, Tini Tom, Kalabhavan Shajon, Siddhique, Anu Joseph and Sunil Sugatha will give life to other prominent characters in the movie. Nilkki Jalrani will be the lead heroine who plays the role of a nurse in the movie.
Mamachan is the leader of a national party which is not much popular. But the young politician who lends his support the common man has a clean image and respectful position in his own village. From the words of Mamachan, he was not able to marry due to his busy political life.
Lisa, a young pretty girl comes to the village who wishes to get back the good fortunes which was lost due to her father who was too a politician. During the while Mamachan who happens to meet her wishes to marry her.
He tires all effort to impress the young lady. His attempt to get her attracted towards him forms the rest of the story. Mamachan also contest the election as the candidate for the LPF party in the Irikkur Assembly whose voting symbol is suitcase. This movie is being produced by Ullattil Shashidaran under the banner Bhavana Media Vision. For the lyrics of Rajeev Nair, Biji Bal has set the tunes.
Jibu Jacob who has worked as the cinematographer for more than 15 movies is looking forward for his maiden project as director.
