Where it is located?

Varkala is located nearly 51 kilometers North – West of Trivandrum, 37 km south of Kollam and it also comes under the district o Trivandrum. This coastal town is well known for its beautiful beaches and it has a specialist, because it is the only place in the Kerala where Cliffs are found adjacent o the Arabian Sea, which adds beauty to this place. Varkala is also a municipality in the district of Trivandrum. Varkala has a railway station and you can also reach there by Airplane, since the nearest airport is in Trivandrum, 57 Kilometers from Varkala.

Varkala has numerous tourist attraction places and let us see some of the keay reason for tourism to flourish in Varkala.

1) Janardanaswami temple is the one of the famous Temple of Kerala dn it is located in Varkala. It is 2000 years old and it is the religious landmark of the palce.
