It's the time for cheerfulness and exuberance as the 51st Kerala State School Kalolsavam/Arts Festival declared open today morning. Now all eyes are all set to witness the talents shown by the young budding. The festival declared open by the Minister of Education at a grand function in Kottayam.
V.N. Vasavan, MLA, presided the meeting. Mathur Govindankutty was the chief guest for the occasion. Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy; Jose K. Mani, kottayam district panchayat president Radha V. Nair; MG University Vice-Chancellor Rajan Gurukkal and other dignitaries participated in the inaugural function.

The main venue, is named after Ponkunnam Varkey, which will be opened for competitions in Margom Kali and Bharathanatyam, which is commenced to begin at 5 p.m. According to media report about 7,090 contestants will be participating in the festival.
