Godhambu Puttu/ wheat steam cake


This is an excellent easy to make, tasty break fast.

wheat flour - 1 cup
salt - to taste
warm water - as per requrirement
cocunut scraping - 3 table spoon

how to make:

heat the wheat flour in a pan in low to medium flame. when the flour is crispy take it off the flame and let it cool. Then add salt and mix it with warm water. As you add warm water make sure the flour is not too wet. This will make the lumps. If at all lump is formed, add a little flour and run the mixie without adding water. This is to be done with the normally wet dough also. This hels in getting finer puttu podi. Now take the puttu maker, fill in one table spoon coconut. Then add the puttu podi till half. Again add one table spoon cocunut and fill up the rest with the podi and cover the podi with the third spoon of coconut. Steam it for next 5-7 minutes and your steam cake is ready to be served.

Godhambu puttu goes well with Kadala curry or Beef.
