2011 Kerala State Children's Educational Film Festival
The 4th Kerala State Children's Educational Film Festival conducted by the State Institute of Educational Technology will be held on 2011 November 14, 15 & 16 at Kozhikode. The competition will be held in 2 categories namely the films directed by children & the films directed for the children. Each of these categories will be divided into 4 groups namely the primary, secondary, higher secondary & B.R.C groups for competition. In the case of the films directed by the children, there is a strict rule which they should follow. That means the script, narration, direction & set designing of the film should be done by the children itself. But they can seek help from expert persons for completing the graphics-animation, camera work & editing of the film. So those who send films in the category of films directed by children, make sure to keep with it an attested copy of your headmaster/principal certifying that the films were directed by yourself. Fiction, education, environment as well as social guidance are the groups in which you can submit films for this film festival. The duration of the education films must be 30 minutes. Keep in mind that those films that exceed 30 minutes will not be considered for the competition. So care must be taken when you direct the films.
You must not send any films that were submitted in the previous year's film festival. Apart from all these points you must remember that for competitions, films must be directed between 1 January 2011 & 30 September 2011. You can send the programs in languages like Malayalam, English, Tamil & Hindi languages. 2 DVD copies along with mini DV format must be used for sending those films for the competitions. Care must be taken not to attach any type of advertisements in the films that you send for the competitions. You must sent the films before 30 September 2011 in the following address.
