KERALA-GOD'S OWN COUNTRY: Blessed with a pleasant and equable climate throughout the year;stamped between the Western Ghats on the East and the Arabian Sea on the West, the narrow strip of land known as Kerala is a destination of a lifetime. Kerala is a tropical land with the coast running down its entire length and the Western Ghats forming a protective barrier against the dry winds. The monsoons (June-September & October-November) and summer (February-May) are the seasons markedly experienced here, while winter is only a slight drop in temperature from the normal range of 28-320C. And when it comes to traveling, souvenirs attain immense value, especially when people visit truly exotic destinations like Kerala. In Kerala, travellers would come across a variety of souvenir items like "ARUNMULA MIRROR","ELEPHANT MODEL","SHIP (URU) MODEL" and so on,that reflect its culture, history, art and socio-religious aspects. Many temples,church and mosque are present throughout the state. Kerala souvenirs come in a wide range of attractive and unique handmade items. Among them are the popular ones like the Aranmula Kannadi (metal mirror); Handicraft products made from coconut shells, wood, clay and cane; Mural paintings and Handloom products like Kasavu sari (sari with golden brocade)and the set of Jewell like "PALAKKA" and "CHUTTI" and so on.but these changes according to the region and places.A lot variety of customs exist in this land of ours. The replenishment beauty of the incomparable palm fringed beaches of Kovalam and Varkala (two main tourist spots at Kerala), the majesty of the undulating hills of Munnar and Vagamon, the serenity of the pristine backwaters of Kumarakom & Kuttanad and the enchanting woods and forests of Thekkady and Silent Valley will have you bowled over.
