Ministers meeting ends; I.I. T. for Kerala
As a result of the meeting of Kerala ministers and central ministers, many good packages will come in Kerala. The main achievement is the sanction of Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T). Also some other projects are get approval through this meeting.
Chief Minister Oomen Chandy said that the meeting with the Central Government is a success and caused to achieve worth-full developments to Kerala. This meeting resulting to the sanction of Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T) after a long term request by Kerala. The Central Government assured that they will approve the I.I.T. project as the part of the 12th five year plan. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh given a positive approach; although this good news was announced by the Central Human Resource Development Minister E. Ahammed.
The I.I.T. will be at Palakkad. The state education Minister P.K. Abdurabh said that for the institute it will take 300-600 acres land from the Palakkad Instrumentation Limited.
Another good achievement is the approval of the security measures for Vizhinjam project. More details will be given by authorities after a thorough discussion with experts about the project.
The project which is for tribal was also come into consideration in the ministers meeting. Central forest-environment Minister Jayanthi Natarajan promised that the project will consider soon for Tribal people who living in Wayanad's dense forests.
However many good projects will come to Kerala as a result of the meeting in New Delhi. It is a challenging task for state government for make the projects without losing the complete benefits and bring as very much useful to Kerala's development.
