After the broadcast of few episodes, this reality show had become a part of keralites living in different part of the world. After 5 years, this show became the most popular reality show being viewed on Malayalam television channels. Even though few other channels also tried their best to bring up similar musical programs to compete with Idea Star Singer, many of them failed to reach the public as they wished to do.

The best part of Idea Star Singer music al reality show is the bunch of excellent judges who give advice and pass of comments which makes the show more interesting. The show runs also with the support of viewers who express their interest through SMS voting for their best performer. Idea Star Singer Season 6 Much Bigger than Season 5

The Idea Star Singer Season 5 came to an end with the Grand Finale held on 24th September 2011 at Chadrashekar Nair Stadium, Thiruvanathapuram. The winner of Idea Star Singer Season 5 was Kalpana Raghevedar who won the grand prize of Rs 1 Crore worth Villa which was sponsored by Confident Group.

The Idea Star Singer Season 6 which is expected to be more colourful and vibrant with the participation of 30 new contestants selected from audition conducted in the channel studio complex. This edition of Idea Star Singer will have Musical Maestro's like Singer Hariharan, K. S Chithra, M.G Sreekumar, Anuradha Sreekumar and Music Director M. Jayachandran.

The 30 new contestants made their first walk before the public on the stage of Idea Star Singer Season 5 grand finale. The introduction entry was spectacular as they all were introduced in the presence of the K.J Yesudas, the most popular South Indian Singer who has been blessed with a golden voice.

Asianet will telecast the show on Monday –Friday as the normal schedule of previous episodes of Idea Star Singer. We can expect much more entertainment from the young dazzling talents who compete for the new edition of Idea Star Singer which comes with a grand prize of Rs 1 core worth Villa sponsored by Confident Group.
