Indian Rupee, the new Malayalam Movie from director Ranjith is slated for a release on October 6, 2011. The movie has Prithviraj and Rima Kallingal in lead roles along with veteran thilakan in an important role. The songs of Indian Rupee released last week has received good reviews from Music Lovers. The songs are composed by Shahabas Aman, noted Gazal singer and musician. The lyricists are Mullanezhi and V.R. Santhosh. Indian Rupee seems to be a film focused on the lives of youths who ready to do anything for money. The director tries to give a social message to the current youth through this film. The film is said to be a prequel to the director's previous movie Pranchiyettan and the Saint. The latter was a satire filled with fantasy and was a super hit in the box office and acclaimed many recognitions from the critics. Indian Rupee is also belongs to the same genre, but no fantasy here, but real life of the current youth is the crux of the film.

Prithviraj, the youth icon of Mollywood is doing a simple and elegant role in this film. The film is also the comeback of Veteran actor Thilakan in to the Malayalam Film Industry.The music department of the film is handled by Shahabas Aman with the company of Mullanezhi and V.R. A romantic duet number in the voice of M.G. Sreekumar and Sujatha sure to catch the attention of lovers in this genre. V.R. Santhosh, a debutant in the lyrics department came with good words for a romantic number. The song has resemblance to Manikyakallaal Menju menanje Song from Varnapakittu in both the music and lyrics. The lyricist tried to make the lines to suit the music, but succeeds in his attempt. The music is right for this type of song. Sujatha and M.G. Sreekumar has their right spirit in delivering the song. Another good melody in the album.

3. Pokayaay Virunnukaree

Singer: G.Venugopal and Asha G. Menon
Lyrics: V.R.Santhosh
Music: Shahabas Aman

Another song in the romantic genre, but has an old fashioned composing and lyrics. The song is a different one in the whole album for its own special features. The easy rendering from G.Venugopal and Asha G. Menon makes the song a good hearing. An average song in the album.

4. Ee Puzhayum Sandhyakalum

A plugged version of the first song which is again in the voice of Vijay Yesudas. The most important thing you noted in the song is nothing but its great lyrics. Nowadays, it is very rare in Malayalam Songs to get a good melody with such a lyrics. The music is also compliments with the lyrics.
