Among the different Dharma Sastha Temples in Kerala, Cherpulassery Sastha Temple has an important place. It is an old temple of old Valluvanadu Taluk, generally referred as Ayyappan Kavu, is located in Cherpulassery of Ottapalam Taluk of Palakkad district. It is on the sides of Cherpulassery Pattambi Road, about two km. west from the Cherpulassery junction.

Thousands devotees visit this temple, especially, ladies with children. In Kumbha month (February - March), every year a ten-day festival is conducted, which attracts a good gathering. The eighth day of the festival is most important.

'Ada'(Valsan- a sweet mixed with rice powder, coconut and jaggery and cooked in steam after covering with plantain leaf)is the most important offering here.
