    Edappally, a place now coming under Cochin Corporation, is famous for the Ganapathy Temple there, which attracts thousands devotees from different parts of the country. This temple actually a private temple owned by the Edappally Raja family. Even now it is located inside the families ancestral home. Devotees can visit the temple and worship the deity only from outside. Still a heavy rush is there almost all days. For certain special offerings (such as Udayasthamaya pooja) one has to book and wait for years !

    This temple can be accessed from the Highway connecting Aluva and Ernakulam (a few meters from the junction where the NH 17 and NH 47 join) , just after the famous Church at Edappally.
