First budget of the new UDF ministry
The new Finance Minister Sri.K.M.Mani has presented his first budget applicable for the remaining months of the financial year. Though he has come with several projects appealing to the general masses, lots of criticism are also there regarding his partisan attitude towards certain regions in the State.Even the MLAs belonging to the ruling front are not happy with the fund allocations. However, the Minister has agreed to make necessary alterations in the allotments, after the discussions in the Assembly.
The earlier ministry, before stepping down from the power, had presented an interim budget. There are similarities in many of the announcements in these two budgets.
