Railway Budget 2010

Posted Date: 25 Feb 2010      Posted By:: tiyemes    Member Level: Silver    Member Rank: 21     Points: 1   Responses: 4

Railway Budget 2010 has been presented in the Parliament. Apparently, certain promises are there. A few 'new' trains for Kerala, coach factory at Kanjikkode, improving the status of Railway Stations, etc. are the promises for Kerala. Last year's promises are yet to fulfill in certain cases. So what can we expect from these new promises ?

As an overall, the new railway budget is somewhat good for kerala. Few years back, we were totally ignored. Now the condition has changed. We have got many promises. But regarding its fulfilment, its doubtful as previous year's promises are yet to be fulfilled. So, lets see what happens.

As long as we have some ministers in central goverment we can expect some perks. The minister from our state has the responsibility of fullfill the announced projects

Its true that as we have our ministers in the cabinet, we can expect some more. But can't say whether it will be fulfilled or not.

It is true that the presence of Ministers in the cabinet from a particular State will be a boon for that State. Now, Kerala has been well represented in the cabinet with two cabinet Ministers and three State Ministers. A small State like Kerala, cannot expect more representation than this. But, still are we really taken care of ?

When compared to our neighboring State's, our voice is not fully heard.
May be some political reasons are there. But, extending more care will only be a boost for support in the future.
