Coming Back of Old Malayalam Films

Malayalam movies, The best movies with different stories and with more of Homely touch. The reason for the popularity of Malayalam movies are because of more Family Entertainers & Natural touch. Now a days the old Malayalam movies are again bought back to the people with the new faces.
    The advantages are :
The new generations are made aware of our rich culture.
The new faces are getting chance and they would be a great hit.

    The disadvantage :
Some people are not satisfied with the performance of the new faces and they get disappointed of wasting money.
If the old stories are bought again & again then what is the use of watching movies in theater?

Should the coming back of old Malayalam movies be encouraged or not?

    Thank You

The remake of old movies in general is not good and may not be acceptable as a routine. However, there are films which were raging hits with good story and contents. If such movies are remade, the same may be accepted by audience. In Hindi the film Sholay is remade recently with our Mohanlal also acting in that. Similarly there are a few films in Hindi and other languages being remade.

There cannot be any hard an fast rule about remakes. It is like books. We may like certain books which we may read a second or even third time. Cinema is also like. Some films may be hit when remade, but not all.

1970s were considered the the golden era of malayalam cinema , The growth of the theater industry with new steps in the technology of cinematography , gave a new colour to the malayalam movies . But all of this was backed by a strong support from the scriptwriters who brought good and natural stories into the focus of the limelight . This attracted people to the theaters as they came to see the reflections of their lives and also the hidden emotions in them . Amovie can be considered as a success only if it creates its own spacce in our minds and when it does not leave us even after we come out of the theaters . This profound effect is lacking in the new era , though i do not deny the fact that there are good experiments going on .

The concept of remaking movies is just a fashion of the malayalam movie industry to follow a luck and success tale . When 'neelathamara' was accepted well , the industry which was scarce of good stories tried to revive itself by bringing up those stories which had a romantic and fleshy story to give . This tendency is the reason behind the remake of 'rathinirvedam ' and the coming up 'avalude raavukal ' . This movement will only produce some erratic movies which picturise vulgar romance to woo the young generation to go to the theaters . Yet i too support the remake of movies which the purest intent to recreate the ambience it once created in our societies .
