If there is a shortage of Stories for malayalam films???

Now a days in malayalam there is trend of remaking old malayalam films like Neelathamara,Rathinirvedam. Some our films are stolen stories from other languages The story of CHINA TOWN is almost similar to the English movie "HANGOVER".
What happened to our film story writers???

    What you think about this?

It seems that there is a shortage of good stories for Malayalam movies. That might be the reason for the series of remaking going on. .Anyway this is not a good trend and it's only for money making..Story writers for films should be more active and find interesting stories to make malayalam film industry more interesting.

Copying contents from other languages is very common these days. The film producers are actually fooling us by copying stories from other languages. Its a tendency in almost all Indian films including Bollywood.

Thank you for your valuable comments

Our film makers are not only copying the stories they are copying the Music also.If we watch a telugu or kannada music channel then we can hear the same music of most of our new malayalam movies. That kannada and telugu movies are released a few years back.

    Hi Deepu Mohandas,
I have a contradiction with your statement,Actually there is no Shortage of story in Malayalam film idustry, but there is a Shortage of good story writers.Good stories created by Only the expert story writers. So the major Problem of Current Malayalam industry is lack of such qualified Story writers.

yes you are absolutely right Mr:Ajmal.
In Malayalam there is a shortage of expert story writers. Now a days I think stories are written for highlight the heroism of Superstars.
There are no importance for the story only mixing of many Stunt, comedy, song and some super Dialogs.
