    Green signal to many developmental projects

    The central government has assured chief minister Oomen Chandy that they will give green signal to many developmental projects including setting up of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for the state.The consensus was made in the meeting of chief minister Oommen Chandy with union ministers. In a press meet after the meet, the CM said Kerala would get IIT next year. The promise is to give permission for an IIT as part of 12 th five-year plan. CM said the talks were fruitful with central ministers. Education minister PK Abdu Rab said the proposed IIT would be set up in the place of Palakkad Instrumentation Ltd. After talks with E Ahamed, Abdu Rab said 300 to 600 acres of land should be taken over.

    Yes, the achievement of many good projects is really a good movement from our government. The meeting of state and central ministers results in success. Many fine projects were achieved by Kerala. The main one is the IIT; that will be started in Palakkad district. Now it is the job of our ministry, mass representatives, politicians and the public to bring the projects in success.
