Asin is opposite to Megastar Mammooty in 'Mathilukalkkapuram'
The leading south Indian actress Asin Thottumkal is selected as the opposite of Megastar Mammooty in Shyama Prasad's upcoming movie titled 'Mathilukalkkapuram'. The movie is the sequel to Adoor Gopalakrishnan's "Mathilukal" in this movie Mammooty and KPAC Lalitha was in the lead roles. In the second part 'Mathilukalkkapuram, Asin is handing the role of KPAC Lalitha (Narayani). After a short break her come back to Malayalam film accepted by her fans as very well. In the first part the heroine was presented as female voice and never appeared in person on the screen. But in 'Mathilukalkkapuram' is presenting female character on the screens too. The character 'Narayani' in 'Mathilukal' is reproduced through heroine Asin and Mammooty will be the hero.The Malayalam film 'Mathilukal' was one of the most cherished and well-known love stories in Malayalam. The movie was based on the novel of 'Vaikom Muhammad Basheer'. The story is telling the romance of two prisoners. The role of male prisoner 'Basheer' was handled by Mammooty and female prisoner 'Narayani' voice by KPAC Lalitha. The lovers were separated by a huge wall. The direction and production of this were handled by Adoor Gopalakrishnan.
The south Indian actress Asin is come back to Malayalam film industry with the Shyama Prasad's next movie titled "Mathilukalkkapuram". Her entry in to the film field was through the Malayalam film titled Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001. It was a Sathyan Anthikkad directed movie but it did not do well at the box office. She debuted in Malayalam film but gradually made a big breakthrough in the Telugu and the Tamil film industries.
