Theft is also one of the social problem that Keralites are facing today.
But it's not coming in the news and other medias as a great menace as it actually is. But Sumeer, you pointed it.We are in a peak time to eliminate this evil from our state.

The first and the foremost thing we should take is to give education to the younger generation. It's not the education of science and maths, but moral education. They should know what is society and how they could contribute for the development of the society. This can be done in the school level and home itself.

During the past years, we have been seeing that many of the thefts were accompanied by a murder. And surprisingly, the culprits of most cases came out to be those from outside Kerala. So we need to have a regulation on foreign workers. We means, the people. We shouldn't give them all the works as they are cheap. People should understand that a simple profit of this time may lead to a large loss in the future.

    Taking some preventive measures will be the best one. Some of the steps are;
(i)Don't leave old age people alone in the home. They may be easily attacked and mischifved. Many of the recent cases are pointing to this fact.
(ii)It's better to have a dog in the home. Atleast, they will give us some signs of strangers.
(iii)Keep your valuables in banks and safe deposits. This is the best option you can take. There is no meaning in keeping money in your home. If you deposit it in bank, you will get some interests at least.
(iv)If you are rich enough, better to have a wall around your home.
(v)Don't be so close to strangers.
(vi)While having wiring in your home, make sure that there should be one switch in every room which can switch on all the electric bulbs in the home.
(vii)And most of all, be aware of you. You should take care of yourself and your valuables.

Yes, Lijin pointed out most of the things that we people wont took notice of during our day today life.

The things i noticed related to this is the communication gap developed between the citizens those are located in the city areas. They wont interact each other. Every day is meant same for these people - Office, Home, sleep.... wont took notice of their house surroundings or premises, or their neighbors....they are always busy with their work.

This is what intruders wants from us.

    Hi Sumeer M

Yes, its true that thrift has been increasing day by day. Even the youth
is getting involved in this problem.

But, what is the root cause that makes them getting involved in these bad works? Youth need money-in the easiest way. So they choose steeling!

Few years back people used to steel coconut, gold etc. But now the case has been changed. In this high tech world they are opting for fast money in less effort. ATM, bikes etc are much easier for their point of view.

But this has to be irradiated from our society.

    Hi Sumeer,
What Sreedeep pointed out is exactly correct. Nowadays youths are behind many of the thefts in our state. It's not the much educated one. The most striking feature is that they are in higher secondary schools.

I hope you remember of the recent vehicles' and computers' theft in Kozhikode district. Some plus one and plus two students were behind the theft. They had a gang of more than 70 people.

The main issue is that parents are not taking care of them. It may be because both father and mother are working, to earn money in the direct way. But according to the Police, the parents are not asking their children from there they are getting new bikes or computers. Parents are living in one world and children in the other. If both of them try to live in one world, the problem can be solved to an extent.

    Hi Sumeer,

Yes, that scandal said by Lijin makes sense that parents should also take care of their children especially in teenage than childhood. Its a great time when these children get misrouted.

Proper care should be given to them in all sense. After all if parents
cant care about their children why they are earning for them?

1.Theft is basically y provocation. a housewife removes her ornaments and keeps iton the dressing table, goes for a bath, the maid comes in to swoop the floor. the maid looks at the ornaments first, then takes it in hand to have a close look, upon close look longs to have one like that and pockets it the easiest way. the same is the case of showy men and women. remember there are always someone to watch you whether you go to bank.atm,,gold shop.everywhere.best way is to avoid provocation.it is interesting to be i argument with lojin as he comments after lerning the subject thoroughly and express his views vithout bias

    To All,
theft is because of illtitrate peoples
most of our elder's even our government and politicians are saying like that

    but no
    it is occuring everywhere
from a born baby to a person who is in death bed is stealing something
there are so many types of stealing

the theft now a days in kerala are mainly targeted on electronic equipments like mobile phones and laptop etc...
y they are doing this? is that they are not properly getting education? No. its not. then?
the main reason y a person is being a theif is the society and the situation where he/she lives

so there are so many things which makes a person thief

now even the police is saying to leave the key in the lock itself to avoid destruction of furnitures

v have to take utmost care for our properties

    Regards,
    Rustham
