Inauguration of the National Academy in Athletics(Sprints and jumps)
The National academy in athletics (sprints and jumps) was inaugurated by the honourable Union Minister of Sports and Youth affairs at the Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education, Kariyavattom.The Sports Authority takes steps to restructure the training programmes in different disciplines with the aim of helping India to emerge on the top of the league of major sporting nations.This academy would prove to be a boon for athletes from Kerala, which had already established itself as a major power in the sports in the country.
