An interesting belief about the temple is that, couples, those who do not have children after marriage, visit this temple and does "uruli Kamzthal". It is believed that once they do this, a serpent will be there inside the "uruli" and will pray for the couples so that soon they will get a kid. Once they get a kid, they will have to come back to the temple and do "Uruli nivarthal". This is done to make the serpent free or else without knowing that the couples have got a child, the serpent will continue to pray inside the uruli. "Uruli" is a vessel usually made out of bronze.
