Early life


Nikhila is born to Pavithran and Vimala Devi in Thalipparambu of Kannur district. Her father is an employee with the Kannur Statistical Department and her mother is a teacher at Kalamandalam. She had participated actively in youth festivals during school days and have won number of prizes in district youth festival. Now she is perusing degree from Sir Syed College, Thaliparambu.

Entry into films


Nikhila came to silver screen through Sathyan Anthikad's movie “Baghyadevatha". She has performed well in that movie as the younger sister of Jayaram. Before that she has done the role of Alfonsamma in the serial “Alfonsamma" telecasted in Shalom TV. Her talents were well projected in that serial.

Future projects


The young beauty Nikila has signed two upcoming Tamil movies simultaneously. One is “Ilayaraja Sound Service" directed by Sathyamoorthi while other is “Ombathukuzhi Sambath" directed by Raghupathi. Shooting of both the movies are progressing. Bhalaji has done the title role in “Ombathukuzhi Sambath" while Mohan has done the title role in “Ilayaraja Sound Service". Nikhila's role in both these movies is that of a village girl.

She has been receiving many offers from Tamil movie industries, however most of it is in the role of a village girl. Now, that makes her little worried as she fears whether she will be labeled as a village girl in future. She likes to do characters in Malayalam if good offers are coming her way.
