Mohanlal as Sardar in V M Vinu's Upcoming Movie


Moahanlal will be doing the role of a Sardar in Mohanlal - V M Vinu team's latest Malayalam movie. V M Vinu and Mohanlal are teaming up again after 10 years gap. The last movie of the combo was 'Balettan', which was a huge hit. Mohanlal's character's name in the movie is Happy Singh, who is very fond of wrestler. The story of the movie is set in a small village in Punjab. This article is about the Mohanlal V M Vinu team's movie in which Mohanlal is doing the full-fledged role of a Sardar.

Upcoming Malayalam movie from V M Vinu, starring Mohanlal, will have the actor in the role of a Sardar. Mohanlal was seen as a Sardar previously for a short time screen presence in the movie 'Lokpal'. But this new venture from director V M Vinu has Mohanlal as a Sardar in a full-fledged role. The movie is still untitled. Mohanlal has been known for his experimentation's with various roles. He was seen in 8 different looks in 'Lokpal'.

The script of this movie is penned by Deepu Karunakaran, who was associated with the movies like 'Crazy Gopalan' and 'Teja Bhai and Family'. Further cast and crew team is yet to decide.

Ten years ago when V M Vinu and Mohanlal joined their hands for 'Balettan', it gave the actor a break from his flop streaks. But thereafter they never got a chance to work together for another film. V M Vinu has directed 8 movies after 'Balettan'. These includes audience favorite movies like 'Makante Achan', 'Vesham', 'Bus Conductor' etc.

From the words of the director, the movie will be an out and out comedy entertainer. The story of V M Vinu – Mohanlal team movie is set in the 80s. The yet to title movie is about a wrestler named Happy Singh living in a small village in Punjab where wrestling is the favorite sport.

V M Vinu is planning to shoot the movie in Punjab and Bangalore. The shooting of the movie will be starting only in the latter half of this year once Mohanlal finishes his already committed works. Mohanlal- V M Vinu team's last venture 'Balettan' was the biggest hit of 2003, the same is expected to happen from their new venture as well.
