Usually payasam consists of rice, vermicelli, cashew nut and sago but to impress others you can make much better with Pineapple. Here I have given very easy method to make Pineapple Payasam.

Ingredients for preparing Pineapple Payasam


  • Milk-2cup

  • Pineapple

  • Sugar

  • Condensed Milk

  • Sago(Chavvary in Malayalam)

  • Cashew / Rasin/ Badam/ Ghee


Preparation method for Pineapple Payasam(kheer)


Step 1: Take the chopped pineapple in pan and cook that pineapple under pressure.

Step 2: To cool boiled pineapple, place it in a refrigerator. While cooking the pineapple add along with small amount of sugar.

Step 3: First boil the sago afterwards wash it appropriately to eliminate the gummy liquid. Because of this liquid some side effects will come in your body.

Step 4: After that, boils milk in a pan and mix as long as it gets little thick. You must stir the milk until appearance of pinkish color.

Step 5: Along with add boiled and washed sago. Again you must stir properly and then decrease the level of flame.

Step 6: Then you have to permit to cook till a transform of shade is appear.

Step 7: In this preparation stir is more important, otherwise the taste of payasam may vary. So you must stir periodically.

Step 8: If you need, you can add frozen pineapple and sugar. Along with this you must add the last ingredient is condensed milk and then mix well.

Step 9: Then pour ghee in it for get a taste and smell and add along with cashew/ rasin/ badam. Now the hot Pineapple Payasam is prepared.
