Kappa (Tapioca) Biriyani Recipe – Ingredients and Preparation Method

Ingredients for Kappa (Tapioca) Biriyani Recipe


• Kappa (Tapioca) - 4 lb
• Pork or beef(with bone and fat) - 2 lb
• Onion - 3 nos
• Green chillies
• Curry leaves
• Ginger - garlic paste
• Salt
• Meat masala
• Turmeric powder
• Coriander powder
• Chilli powder
• Vinegar

Preparation Method of Kappa (Tapioca) Biriyani Recipe


Step 1:
Take the tapioca and cut it into small pieces. The package of frozen tapioca pieces is also available in shops. So if you want, you can buy that pack.

Step 2:
Steam tapioca with enough; add 1 tea spoon salt and 2 pinches of turmeric powder in a cooker.

Step 3:
After 2 whistles you should stop the flame and then strain the water off.

Step 4:
Put meat that is beef or pork into a cooker and pour enough water.

Step 5:
Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 2 tables spoon of meat masala, 1 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp turmeric 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp chilli powder and 1 table spoon vinegar.

Step 6:
Keep cooker on flame till the meat cook well. The indication of cooker gives 3 whistles.

Step 7:
Now, take a deep frying pan and fry remaining onions till it turns brown color.

Step 8:
Add green chilies, 2 table spoon meat masala, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp chili powder.

Step 9:
After drain off water now you should add cooked meat and cook for about 15 minutes.

Step 10:
Add steamed tapioca after draining of water and Mix well.

Step 11:
Finally add curry leaves, few chopped onions green chillies and mix well heat for 3 minutes.

Step 12:
Now Kappa (Tapioca) Biriyani is ready!!!
Serve the Kappa (Tapioca) Biriyani hot!!!
