Pudding is a delicious, tasty and colorful dish. Usually pudding is soft only when we add beaten egg into it. But I have tried chocolate pudding without using egg. This eggless pudding with vanilla sauce is similar to pudding prepared with egg. Some people hate the raw smell of egg. So you people can try this pudding. The pudding is very easy to prepare and requires less time for preparation. The ingredients used in this dish can be very less in number. Ingredients required for preparing eggless pudding with vanilla sauce
For chocolate pudding
1. Milk: 2 ½ cups
2. Chocolate chips: 3/4 cup
3. Vanilla essence: ½ tsp
4. Corn flour: 4 tsp
5. Sugar: 4 tsp
For Vanilla sauce
1. Milk: 1 cup
2. Sugar: 1 tsp
3. Condensed milk (milkmaid): ½ cup
4. Vanilla essence: ½ tsp
5. Butter: 50 g
6. Water: ¼ cup
7. Corn flour: 4 tsp
Preparation method of eggless pudding with vanilla sauce
Steps for pudding preparation
Step 1: Add corn flour to ½ cup of milk and stir it well and keep this corn flour mix aside.
Step 2: Add sugar, chocolate chip to remaining 2 cup of milk. These mixes are kept in simmed fire and stir it for 2 minutes.
Step 3: Add the corn flour mix to the above milk mix and stir it well till it become a thick consistency.
Step 4: In the mean time, a cup is covered with butter to all the sides of it. It avoids the pudding to stick with into it.
Step 5: Remove the milk mix from fire and add vanilla essence into it and stir well. Pour this mix into the pudding cup covered with butter and keep it in the refrigerator for 4-5 hours.
Steps to prepare vanilla sauce
Step 1: Add corn flour to ¼ cup of water and stir it well without any lumps. Keep this corn flour mix aside.
Step 2: Mix 1 cup of milk with sugar, condensed milk or milk maid and stir well. Pour this dish into a pan and make it to boil.
Step 3: Add corn flour mix to the milk mix and stir it well till it become thick.
Step 4: Remove this and mix from fire and add vanilla sauce and stir it well.
Step 5: Add butter, mix well and keep this mix in refrigerator. Serve this sauce along with pudding.
Extra tip: You can also use dry fruits and nuts instead of chocolate chips. You can also use other essence such as strawberry, orange instead of vanilla essence. The time required for boiling of milk and mixing determines the softness of the pudding.
