LBS Centre for Science & Technology which had been organizing the Kerala State Eligibility Test for the past few years is gearing up for the next phase of exam which is scheduled for 2014. The SET exam is being conducted to select eligible candidates to become teachers in Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary schools.
The online registration for the Kerala SET exam 2014 will start from 19th November 2013. The notification for Kerala SET (State Eligibility Test) exam has been published at the official website of LBS.
Distribution of Kerala SET exam 2014 application forms will begin on 18th November while the exam is scheduled for 2nd February 2014. The last date for online registration is 9th December 2013, 3 PM.
As per the prospectus, those who have acquired Master's Degree in the concerned subject in IInd class with not less than 50% marks and B.Ed Degree in any discipline from any one of the universities in Kerala are eligible to apply for Kerala SET December 2013 (State Eligibility Test).
Added to it, those who have acquired the qualifications from any other recognized university can also submit their application. As per the new rule, negative mark will not be in the exam.
The Kerala State Eligibility Test which started in 1997 is being conducted to ensure the standards of teaching in Higher Secondary Course. As a pass in the State Eligibility Test (SET) has become a mandatory requirement for appointment as Higher Secondary School Teachers, those who wish to be a part of the teaching community have been giving due importance right from the preparation of the exam.
The exam is conducted on the basis of the syllabus approved by the Board of Examinations, who is in charge to arrange State Eligibility Test.
Candidates who wish to attend the exam are requested to read the Prospectus carefully to know the rules and regulations before submitting the online application and filling up the enclosed application form.
