Pudding is considered as a simple sweet dish or desert by the people in Kerala to have after their meals or during leisure time. The word pudding is derived from the French boudin, but actually from the Latin botellus, which means "small sausage".

Different types of flavours are available which causes a mouth watering experience while having it. Banana, strawberries, grapes, chocolate, pineapple, and many other flavors are available. Vanilla pudding with chocolate is a famous and it tastes ow-some. Do try this at home and surprise others with your top class dishes.
Vanilla pudding with chocolate


For chocolate cake:
1) White flour - 85 gm, Cocoa - 3 teaspoon, Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon.
2) Egg - 3 and Sugar - 125gm.

For syrup:
3) Powdered sugar - 1 table spoon, brandi - 2 tablespoon, Water - 2 tablespoon.

For fillings:
4) Dry grapes (kismis) - 3 tablespoon.
5) Fresh cream - 200 gm.
6) Powdered sugar - 3 tablespoon.
7) Grated chocolate.
8) Vanilla ice cream - 1/2 litre.

How to prepare

Spread some ghee or butter over a swiss roll pan and also spread some butter after covering it with paper on top. Mix the ingredients number one all together and squeeze it well. Continue stirring while adding egg and sugar. Add syrup of white flour to it and pour it into the smoothened cake tin for baking it in hot oven for about 10 - 12 minutes. When it is finished then remove the cake tin from the oven and let it cool for a while. Now prepare the syrup using suitable ingredients and add dry grapes (kismis) till it gets soaked properly. Then take out all the kismis from the syrup and keep the syrup aside.

Cut the cake into three layers carefully using a knife. Now spread the syrup all over the layers one by one properly. Now slowly add sugar to the fresh cream and beat it well until it acquires some stiffness. The dish is almost ready. Take a serving plate to keep the bottom layer of cake and spread half of the ice cream over it. Also spread half of the dry kismis on top of it. Its time for the next layer and repeat the same procedure done above using the remaining kismis and ice cream.

Finally after placing the third layer, cover the whole cake with the prepared cream. For the final touch, spread grated chocolates on top and allow it to cool for a while. When it is all set take it out and slice it well. Now you can present your delicious vanilla pudding with chocolates to your relatives or guests and impress then with its taste.
