Ingredients1) Dough / Refined flour - 30 gm
2) Semolina - 85 gm
3) Fat - 30 gm
4) Salt - a pinch
5) Milk and water - as required
6) Oil - for frying
7) Mawa - 30 gm
8) Fresh coconut - 55 gm
9) Sugar - 1 teaspoon
10) Poppy seeds - 1 teaspoon
11) Sultanas - a pale green oval seedless grape (optional) - 10 gm
How to prepareFirst make sure all the ingredients are available for you in front and set yourself to start the dish. Rub the fat into the flour and semolina. Add salt and water to make a fairly stiff dough. Set aside for half an hour and then break it into pieces. Apply a little fat and spread on each pieces thoroughly till it becomes smoothed. Make sure that the person who eats the dish is happy with the fat applied.
Now carefully roll into round of 5 - 8 cm diameter. Put filling in the center and fold it over. Seal edges with a little water to give a professional touch. Deep fry it till light brown colour appears. Finally drain them up properly and place it in a air tight container. It should be properly checked that the tin or container is tightly closed to reduce air damage.
