Calicut University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kohinoor established in the year 2001 is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Kerala. CUIET is a self financing engineering college situated in Malappuram district and is owned and managed by University of Calicut. College is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to university of Calicut. B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering is an oldest engineering discipline deals with the design, construction and operation of motors, engines, machines and power plants. Anfas Mukram holds the present principle position of ME department. Different labs of the department include heat engine lab, mechanical workshop, machine shop, production engineering, instrumentation lab, fluid mechanics labs, CAD/CAM lab and heat transfer lab. Presently college have a sanction of 120 seats for this course. B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Electrical and Electronics Engineering is conserved with generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and also many other utilization of electrical energy. Present head of EEE department is Balakrishna Pillai. Department was established in 2001 with an intake of 60 seats. Excellent facilities and faculties are available for the department to impart technical education and thereby to make them professional in the field. Following lab facilities are avail in the college such as basic electrical engineering lab, electrical workshop lab, electrical measurements and instrumentation lab, system simulation lab, advanced electrical engineering lab and electrical machine lab. B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering
Established in 2001, department have a sanction of 60 seats. Present head of Electronics and Communication Engineering department is V. Krishnapriya. Course mainly deals with the design, construction and operation of electronic system. Department has many well equipped labs such as optical communication lab, electronic circuits lab, analog communication lab, digital communication lab, microwave engineering lab, microprocessor lab, micro controller lab, advanced communication lab, DSP lab and linear integrated circuit lab. Even though it's a new branch it has now great scope due to the tremendous developments in the field and also due to the wide it covers. Central Library
CUIET have an excellent learning centre having many volumes of test books, journals, seminar reports, project reports, magazines and newspapers. Faculties and professional assistants are appointed for maintaining discipline inside the library. Library have following section such as acquisition section, technical section, periodical and reference section.
