How to become a Chartered Accountant?

To become Chartered Accountant, first you have to register for the Common Proficiency Test conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. It is an entry level/ entrance exam for doing the CA Course conduted in monthe of June and December (paper mode).

Also the registered students can write online CPT . The registraton fee for the Common Proficeicy Test (CPT) is Rs. 6000/-. A student after passing his or her 10th examination can register with the Institue of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for CPT and can write CPT exam only after completing thier 12th standard exam. The registration is valid for 3 years or 6 exams from the date of registration with ICAI.

The students in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andra pradesh can register thier name for Entrance under southern regional coucil of ICAI.

Registration amount should taken as D.D. in favor of Secretary , ICAI, Chennai. The students in Kerala can submit thier dully filled form in the Ernakulam branch of SIRC at the below Given Address :

Study material will also get at time of registration. After registering with the ICAI, students must fill their exam application form of corresponding exam, ie. june or december exam.
