AMMA- malayalam film artists association
AMMA is the association of malayalam film artists. AMMA is having more than 1800 members and is controlled by an executive committee.
AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artist)
AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artist) is the malayalam film artists association. The association is controlled by an executive committee which consists of a president, two vice-presidents, a general secretary, secretary and a treasurer. The first executive committee of AMMA was selected on 1994 and M.G Soman was the president. The annual body meeting of AMMA is conducted yearly and in special occasions. There are more than 1800 members in AMMA association currently.
AMMA is giving financial assistance(Kaineettam) to the ailing members of the association. Currently there are 51 members who receive financial assistance from AMMA. The total amount of Kaineettam was Rs.2000 initially and now it has been incremented to Rs.2500. For raising the fund of AMMA the movie Twenty 20 was produced by Dileep and almost all artists in malayalam film industry was involved in the movie. An amount of Rs.2 crore was donated to the Kaineettam fund of AMMA from the profit of Twenty 20 movie.Executive Committee of AMMA
The current executive committee controlling AMMA was elected for a period from 2009 to 2012. The president of executive committee is Innocent, vice presidents are Ganesh Kumar K.B and Mukesh. The general secretary of AMMA is Mohanlal, secretary is Edavela Babu and Treasurer is Jagadish. The members of executive committee of AMMA are Mammootty, Dileep, Geethu Mohandas, Harisree Ashokan, Indrajith, Jayasurya, Kukku Parameswaran, Kunchacko Boban, Maniyanpilla Raju, Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, and Vijayaraghavan.Address of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists)
