Kerala State Co-operative Agricultural and Rural Development Bank Ltd. is bank with a prime aim of achieving agricultural and rural development. The bank is organized under the federal structure. There are 48 KSCARD Banks in our state. The bank was established in 1956 and then onwards it has been a permanent helper to the farmers of the state.
The role and functions of KSCARD banks includes;
1.Resource mobilization to provide long term loans to affiliated primary banks.
2.Effective financial control over its affiliated primary banks.
3.Institutional promotion.
4.Direct lending to corporate bodies.
