Hi Lijin

Mananchira square is one of the great tourist spots of Kozhikode,Kerala. Not only it has got a big park but also a large pond.

It is said that the pool of water is made by Samurai s of Kozhikode during their reign. It has been used for irrigation purposes. Long tunnels has been created by them for the same.

The pool can be seen while travelling through Calicut city. But the street lights around them is not in working condition. It may certainly makes a bad sense of Manachirra and Kozhikode.

Thank you for your great effort.

Regards
Sreedeep
